Elemental Dragon Nuntika
Sculpted by hand by Australian Ceramic Sculpture Artist, Elena Steere, this dragon and its fraternal twin, Marlipsi, is a little unusual compared to the rest of Elena’s body of work. While most of her portraits of elemental guardians focus on the softness of the fey, this piece offers a cheekier side to the keepers of the elements.
The little dragon exudes a naughty, haughty and impetuous attitude with sharp teeth and pointed scales. Dragons are often seen as serene or wise, but not all of the fantastical creatures share this calmness. Nuntika is a cheeky, playful spirit with a zest for life and excitement. Paired alongside Marlipsi, Nuntika adds a whimsical charm and wonder to any space is occupies.
